What is egg donor IVF?

Egg donor IVF process involves retrieving eggs from a woman who has normally functioning ovaries. Egg donation is an anonymous and altruistic In Estonia.

Once you have decided that egg donation is the best option for you to have a healthy baby, you may choose between using fresh or frozen donor eggs. Following egg retrieval, the eggs are fertilized in the in vitro fertilization lab using sperm from the receiving couple’s partner or with chosen donor sperm.

Following egg donor IVF fertilization in the laboratory and growth of the embryos for either 3 or 5-6 days, the resulting embryos are transferred to the uterus of the woman who wishes to carry the baby. All the remaining good quality embryos wil be cryo preserved for the future purpose. If a pregnancy is established, the receiving woman becomes the mother carrying the developing baby through the full term of the pregnancy and childbirth – with all the joys of experience that this offers.

Using IVF donor eggs is one of the most successful methods of infertility treatment, as it uses the genetic material of healthy and young selfless donors. With egg donor IVF as an infertility treatment, thousands of couples have become parents with assistance and fulfilled the dream of having their own child.

Fresh egg donor IVF

The planning of egg donation procedure with fresh IVF donor eggs can take a couple of months because menstrual cycles of two women (donor and recipient) need to be synchronized.

You can do endometrium preparation and the follow-up ultrasounds in your own country. On the day of IVF donor’s egg retrieval, the donated IVF eggs are fertilized with your husband’s fresh or frozen sperm or use donor sperm.

Frozen egg donor IVF

Nova Vita clinic has its own Egg bank. The frozen donor egg IVF process is easier to plan and there is usually no waiting list. In the treatment with frozen egg donor IVF your endometrium is medically prepared for the embryo transfer. You can do this and the follow-up ultrasounds in your own country.

We warm the IVF donor eggs and fertilize them with your husband’s fresh or frozen sperm or use donor sperm. After a few days we will do the embryo transfer (and freeze all other good embryos) or freeze all the embryos to be used later in the frozen embryo transfer. The procedure can be arranged at the most suitable time for the woman to whom the embryo(s) would be transferred.

Our professional physicians, cutting-edge technology, meticulous screening and compassionate nurses are together high quality and care. We work closely together to help you realize your dream – a baby.
